This family room in Brookfield was dated and drafty.  The paneling on the walls was removed and new insulation and drywall installed.  An energy-efficient Pella picture window flanked by double hung units and a new entry door was installed; hardwood was installed by the entry for easy care.  The opening between the family room and kitchen was widened.  Recessed lights and surround sound wiring hidden in the walls completed the project.

This Pewaukee home’s entry was an unremarkable, straight overhang.  A pitched roof with an arch extending out from the house was built, set on fiberglass columns.  The columns were placed on wood bases that were wrapped in fieldstone.  The stone was repeated in the planter and alongside one wall of the covered entry.

This sunroom in Pewaukee showcases the outside with Kolbe & Kolbe windows and Velux skylights. Paddle fans at the ceiling keep it from getting too hot, while in-floor heat beneath the ceramic tile keeps it from getting chilly. French doors separate the sunroom from the main house.

This area in a Waukesha lower level had previously housed a large fish tank. After the tank was removed, the upper area was lined with oak stained to match the cabinets. The adjustable shelves were custom made and trimmed to fit.
